Construction consultancy Doig+Smith is delighted to announce the renewal of its Investors in People Accreditations.
For the fifth consecutive year, the consultancy has been awarded Investors in People Platinum and Investors in Young People Gold. Both awards significantly endorse Doig+Smith’s commitment to leading, managing, supporting, and developing its people.
Recommended by people management specialists
In the reports issued by Remarkable, The Scottish Government’s partnership with people management specialists, Doig+Smith was commended for its excellent training programme, which improved during the pandemic, thanks to the introduction of consistent lunchtime CPD events run weekly.
The solid leadership at Doig+Smith was also highlighted as a strength:
“There is strong evidence that leaders are active role models, leading by example and trusted by people in the organisation. Further praise was issued for their clear communication of organisational objectives and the encouragement of the leaders in motivating staff to meet and exceed them.”
The paper focusing on young people was equally positive. The author stated:
“It is clear that Doig+Smith provides a knowledge-sharing environment where young people are learning continuously and given the right experience and opportunities to grow. Knowledge sharing and learning are keystones of the organisational culture, and this commitment to young people comes from senior leaders.”
Prestigious accreditation makes them an employer of choice
Gordon McLintock, Doig+Smith Director, is delighted with the accreditation news and commented:
“We are pleased to have been granted Platinum and Gold Investors in People status yet again. These awards are highly prestigious and position Doig+Smith as an employer of choice. Our staff are the heartbeat of our organisation, and it is reassuring to have received such positive feedback both from them and the IIP assessors.”
Bouncing back after COVID
Doig+Smith has ambitious plans for the year ahead, with the consultancy determined to build on the stability it has created in the last 18 months whilst weathering the challenges posed by the pandemic.
Now as we look to grow our business further, winning new clients and securing new streams of work, it is vital that we have a strong team behind us. We love the energy and enthusiasm young people bring to our organisation and we will continue to recruit, train, nurture and develop their talents as a key priority.
