Alliance Healthcare Portugal is the leader in the pharmaceutical distribution market in Portugal. With around 430 employees across Portugal, the company distributes medicines and health products to more than 2,000 pharmacies across the country. Alliance Healthcare Portugal have been nominated for Overseas Employer of the Year: Silver at the 2022 Investors in People awards.
Why did you enter the Awards?
We applied for the award to see our recognition highlighted, to benchmark with other organizations that like us put their people at the centre of their action, and to share our best practices in human resources with other organizations that are interested in stepping in investing their employees.
What was the key point of your entry?
The concern with our people is genuine and we are truly committed developing their skills, involving them on business strategies and being as transparent as possible so they can feel engaged, and individuals and the company succeed.
What would it mean to you to win?
Winning this award has never been the goal (that’s much further ahead). Winning an award like this one show us above all that we are on the right path and that we can be an example and inspire other companies to invest in their people.
